🚢 nevi betula surfaces in the spotlight at SMM Hamburg 2024! 🌟
From 3 to 6 September 2024, we had the pleasure of presenting our innovative betula surfaces at SMM Hamburg. Together with our partners, Brockhausen MARINEVERTRIEB and SDS – Surface & Decking Solutions GmbH, we presented the latest trends and solutions for deck coverings.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by and supported us with their interest and feedback. We look forward to shaping the future of marine and decking solutions together! 🚢⚓️
The eagerly awaited Surface Design Awards 2024 took place in London yesterday. 🎉
Despite not taking home the trophy, we are incredibly proud to have been among the top finalists.
It was great to see all the inspiring materials and projects that are driving our industry forward.
A big congratulations goes to the winners, Casta from Portugal’s Matter.

From January 30 to February 4, our team was at the Jagd & Hund exhibition in Dortmund.
We not only explored the latest developments in the hunting sector, but also held inspiring discussions and made valuable contacts.

betula surfaces are in the final round of the Surface Design Awards 2024 in the Interior Surfaces category!
A prominent expert jury of architects and interior designers has nominated our exclusive surfaces for the award from over 160 entries from more than 20 countries.
In the current Surface Design Awards newsletter, our material will now be presented to a broad design audience in the run-up to the awards ceremony.
The award ceremony on 8 February 2024 is fast approaching and we can hardly wait to perhaps take home the coveted prize. 🏆
But no matter how it turns out, just being in the top 4 is a great honour for us.

Subcontractor is the most important trade fair event for the technical supply industry in Scandinavia. ✅
It is one of the leading events for the manufacturing industry in Northern Europe and is the place to go for decision-makers, engineers and designers. 🌠

Design means the interplay of form and colour with the function of an object. Our nevi betula surfaces are full of design, with each panel being unique thanks to the natural raw material birch bark 🌟.
This is also emphasised by the nomination of our material for the Saxon State Prize for Design 2023 🏆.
We were particularly pleased about the visit of the Saxon Minister of Economic Affairs, Martin Dulig, to our stand.

Our globally unique nevi betula surfaces are a finalist for the CSIE Award for Innovation! 🏆 We are proud that we were able to convince the jury with our material properties:
💦 Unlike wood, birch bark does not naturally swell when wet; it quickly releases any moisture it absorbs. The natural material can also withstand salt water.
🪵 nevi now makes it possible for the first time to use a renewable wood-like material that is perfect for the interior of boats and ships. The slip resistance of the renewable material is also impressive: when wet, the material has grip and ensures safety on damp floor surfaces.
❌ In addition, the oils contained in the bark have an antimicrobial effect and effectively prevent the formation of mold and the absorption of bacteria. The best conditions for a completely new living experience on yachts.
